[BNM] php include file problems

Hi Mark,

The server people found that some file permissions had
changed overnight in the php paths. Functions like
include, require,dirname (my problem here) and getcwd
weren't actually working. 

I came into work with calls saying the live system had
turned into the development system; mainly because the
folder paths were not being checked with dirname
correctly. 

All sorted now.
