[BNM] php include file problems

Hello,

This is a quick desperate email as I'm trying to sort a problem

We have php 4 and after a reboot the symptoms seem to be that functions in 
include files don't work correctly but the same function copied into the 
same file calling the include is fine. Has anyone experienced this? I've 
got a common.php file with lots of functions that I use including one that 
determines whether the system is live or development and all of a sudden 
the live system has become the DEV system.

Any suggestions?
