according to that article I'm beyond the scope both in time and serial
number

for up to two years from the original date of purchase. Apple will
continue to evaluate the repair data and will provide further repair
extensions as needed."

I dont mind paying for the repairs its just Solutions policy is to
charge 150 quid to open it and diagnose the issue. They refuse to
comment on whether they are familiar with the problem or have fixed this
problem in other Powerbooks. Its like a game of Poker with them, where
150 quid is the ante...
