I like this idea - and can partake, offering a rackspace hosted DNS server

I would like to discuss the details further, either here on at a meeting
of some sort

Its high time we took control of our own DNS destiny

The community model seems both fair and robust

Today they really are helpful and approachable but I carry the memory and when I look at your site that is what is going through my mind.

Alas, got to Dynamic DNS and nothing but a heading. How am I supposed to ever learn and understand this A frame/CName stuff? It is A frame or is that to do with houses? Domain hosting companies don't make it easy because presumably they want to charge for it or worry about their systems. I want to understand and sort out domains.
