Anyone using the Channel 4 On Demand service 
and can help me with a quick question?

Both this and the BBC iPlayer apparently use 
the same P2P software which keeps going, even 
when you exit the player. You can turn this 
off in the Preferences dialogue in the BBC 
player - does the equivalent setting exist in 
the 4oD player and if so, where? I can't get 
the software to work, so can't test it.
