[BNM] DVD-R 4x

Hi all, 

Does anyone know where to get slow DVD-R (4x or below) in Brighton? I've looked at SVP online - but they don't seem to have much in stock. 

It appears that my laptop's (PowerBook G4 titanium 1Ghz) Superdrive can only burn DVD-R media and at speeds no greater than 4x. 
The drive model is: MATSHITA DVD-R UJ-815. I haven't tried an 8x or 16x in it. Apple actual recommend that I shouldn't. So I guess that makes the drive obsolete as a DVD burner - if 4x media becomes no longer available?
