I'm totally in love with TextMate on my mac, largely because of the
bundles and macros that make coding a real breeze.

I've just started using e when I need to use an editor on the PC
(replacing my old fav. Textpad)

You can use the TextMate bundles with it, and it mirrors a load of
TextMate functionality. Watch the screencast on the homepage to get a
feel for what it can do. I'm never going back to Textpad after this :)
