Well, if you are prepared to forgive their penchant for world wars, yes they
are.

I'm going to Munich over Easter with my girlfriend (who is German, from
Munich surprisingly enough) so we'll see what it's like. I'm hoping to spend
the journey deliberately mispronouncing words from my German phrase book and
saying "Well, that it says here" when she corrects me :)
