[BNM] Virgin Media Broadband issues?

Hi
I'm a virgin (!) user. I'd not noticed anything recently but will play with 
a broadband speed checker tonight and see how I get on. On the whole my 
broadband has been fine with NTL/Virgin. Although, I was trying to set-up 
outlook 2003 (not to use but to get settings for documentation) at home 
last night to work with our ASMTP mail. For some reason I couldn't send an 
email using our asmtp host (port 587 not 25 or whatever the one ISPs 
block). I was fiddling with settings and managed to get it to work and then 
not work???  This is more likely to be me and outlook though.

The TV is another story. I've started memorising my favourite channels as 
the favourites thing seems to be lost each time there's a major upgrade; 
not every night but enough to make me not bother to set favourites anymore.

Once the broadband becomes flakey I will swap over to something else e.g 
sky and something. Still not keen to swap and my wife still won't go for a 
satellite dish outside the house.
