[BNM] Mac DVD ripping tools

Hello again,

I've been sent some bootleg gigs on DVD from VHS. I want to use iMovie/iDVD 
on my macbook to add a menu and chapters etc. I'm being thick but can 
anyone suggest a free tool to rip (uncopyrighted DVD-R) the DVD content to 
a format suitable for use with iDVD etc. Have I got to rip the DVDs to 
mpeg/avi/qt to use with iDVD/iMovie and back again? Won't I lose some 
quality doing this?

Was looking at mactheripper and DVDbackup
