[BNM] [OT] gaming laptop

Hey,

A work colleague is looking at getting a new laptop for gaming, but
he's a little stuck as to what brand to get.  He doesn't want a Dell,
but has been looking at Alienware (yes, yes, I know...) Apart from the
obvious, the Alienwares are expensive and use chips which are fast
becoming out of date.  Does anyone know of any other good
manufacturers of gaming laptops, or reasons to go with Alienware/Dell?
