Thanks to whoever suggested Beryl. Brilliant!

I upgraded to edgy wotzit (ubuntu) last night and stuck Beryl on. The 3d 
rotating cube with the image on the skydome is great. Eye candy yes but 
still great. If only I could work on the desktop while in cube mode; 
actually is that possible- didn't try that.

A colleague installed Vista this morning. The flip 3d (Aero) thing is OK 
but nothing compared to a big flipping (not in battlestar galactica Frac 
sense) cube.
