Basically says the transmitter power is really low.

My advice to

"anyone in Brighton having problems with some channels on a freeview box"

1 Get an new digital rated aerial
2 make sure it really does have line of sight
3 really is pointing in right direction
4 really is mounted with fins in vertical plane not horizontal
5 replace the external co-ax.

Only if all these things fail consider a booster.

If that fails get NTL. If you are willing to pay a phone line rental
they will provide most channels free.

Also if freeview works for you then one of these is going to be your
best friend.
