[BNM] printer disposal

My Canon Pixma MP110 has decided after 1 year, to stop printing black 
properly

no amount of cleaning and removing and cleaning will make it work

conclusion: the black print head is damaged

This is a shame, since its an all-in-one printer, and the color works 
perfectly

Its still a scanner, photocopier and color printer

Plus, the carts are dirt cheap

I cannot bring myself to chuck this in the bin (and besides, my bin is 
not big enough anyway)

Can anyone tell me the best way to dispose of this ?

Can I give it away ?

Can it be re-cycled, reonditioned and resold by some organisation?
