Go to Preferences and Advanced and untick "Keep iTunes Folder Organised" and
"Copy Files to iTunes Music Library When Importing" then change the default
iTunes folder to be your Samba share and all your file structure and Mp3's
should be as you want them.
Adding MP3's to your iPod or iTunes doesn't add any DRM to the MP3's. The
only DRM MP3's would be any which you purchased from the iTunes Store.
