[BNM] Domain Backorders

hi steve -

I'm just trying to backorder a domain myself, and this article
<http://www.mikeindustries.com/blog/archive/2005/03/how-to-snatch-an-expiring-domain>is
really good at explaining the pros and cons of the big three registrar
companies. I'm going with pool.com - it sounds like there's a good
chance they'll win it, and you only have to pay if they do - but you do
have to do through a dodgy sounding auction afterwards. I can't really
recommend them though as its the first time i've ever done this. But I
should find out in the next couple of weeks if they're any good, so if
your domain expires after that, feel free to mail me.

Oh, and don't do what I did: keep checking the whois to see if it's been
renewed yet. Apparently people use this data to choose domains to go for
- if they see someone really wants a domain they'll go for it themselves.

cheers, ben
