Subject: Re: [BNM] Ajax not working in IE
HI Alex,
here is the original message:
Hi everyone,
I have a request form which is working perfectly in Firefox but in not =
IE.=20
One of the options doesn't show the content correctly, here is the url - =
http://www.brightred-design.com/vcs/chooseYourCar.cfm - and the issue =
is:
> when you select 'Manufacturer' a AJAX function is called that =
populates the 'model' select object with a set the opions, The problem =
is in Firefox this works perfectly but if you try it in IE you will =
notice that the 'Model' field is empty!!! The data ( HTML options ) =
being returned by AJAX are correct. This request passes the innerHTML =
content to the model select box., why does IE not display the options =
(innerhtml) ?!!
Any suggestions will be very welcome.
Thanks in advance

Bruno,
I didn't see your original post with the problem in it so can't really =
comment. Are you using a JS framework? Prototype.js, Mootools or =
similar=20
make cross browser stuff pretty straight forward but obviously it=20
depends what the problem is.

javascript and think it causes too much extra work and is a cross =

the server where you've got better control over the code it generally =
works much better.

It was a slightly different twist to the cross browser headache.

technically actionscript and javascript are pretty much the same =
language, just Flash has a better more compatible runtime environment. =
Also ... I don't see many javascript IDE's although flash / actionscript =
has many.
