Thanks for all the suggestions. I was thinking the
above might help and I might try this after Xmas.

Will check this out too but a comparison of the
headers looks like the way to go.

I've got an IE fix in there too.

I've just been on the phone with the person who had
the problem. I've just removed the header:

header("Content-Disposition: attachment;
filename=$name");

and it seems to work now??? I'm not entirely sure I've
fixed it but I'm not making any more changes just
before the Christmas closure.
