[BNM] [OT] Snowboarding

As much as it pains me to say it, package deals can be the cheapest way of
doing trips. I did a week in St. Anton, lift pass and meals included, and
flights on non-pikey Austrian Airways, for £399. Some people on that trip
who booked last minute with the same company (Crystal Ski) got it for
£169. The free pass was because it was champagne powder week, though,
which is this week. Was great two years ago...

Best place I've been is off the beaten track, but not far. It's just
obscure. Fly into Pisa, hire a car, and shoot two hours up past Florence
into the mountains. A place called Abetone. There's no black runs, but
plenty of blues and reds, one green, and it's EMPTY. Always. Not really
English speaking, except the hotel, but it's fine. The hotel was something
ludicrously cheap, and was four star, easily. Right by lifts, too. Check
the gallery for emptiness:
