should be able to but I can't. After Christmas maybe.

I can point you in a few directions:
1. Go down the ramp out of the shopping centre above
New Street Station (opposite is corporation street).
Turn left and head towards the library. There are
shops. Beyond the library and to the left is the
Mailbox (used to be sorting office- big big building).
There are probably restaurants in there. Behind that
is the canal system and Gas Street Basin is nice and
there are cafes/restaurants around there.

Broad Street (above Gas Street Basin) is also nice
(lots of hotels (the Hyatt) and casinos). Brindley
place, off broad street, has been done up recently and
that's nice around there too. There are entrances
behind the BICC /National Indoor arena to the canal.

Also The Arcadian (apparently in Chinatown- sort of on
way to Digbeth, my geography is bad!) is supposed to
be nice. I used to go to pubs around there. Turn off
smallbrook queensway (part of inner ring road) near
hippodrome for the Arcadian.

Also Ladypool road (balsall heath or moseley-way??)
which I think is part of the Balti Trail??? Went there
in June but the restaurant was more late night cafe.
Meal for 4 was 20 quid and beer from off licence round
the corner.

Jas
