My client got through on the support line after 70 minutes or something 
on hold.  They gave her new passwords over the phone in the end.  This 
got control panel access back.  DB and FTP passwords could then be 
changed and service resumed.  But, I still can't get any of the 
additional FTP accounts that are set up there to work.  They've all had 
their passwords reset.  Not sure what's going on there yet, but as you 
might expect, there would appear to be additional glitches as a result 
of this frankly astonishing and inept action.
