Yea - I did that with this :

It's still not ideal as people find things like adding photos to be a 
bit of a puzzle etc (and if anyone would like the odd little bit of paid 
work doing just that with this site, get in touch)

I think I'd almost be inclined to use Wordpress as a defacto CMS now 
though... I think the thing to do is strip it back to the absolute 
minimum style/html-wise... which is what I did with this 
http://www.ikostar.com (blog-pimp, blog-pimp) and build it up from 
there. Or don't.

It takes a couple of days of tinkering to find out where everything 
lives though I think. Took me a couple of weeks.
