Last night the strangest thing happened:
I was at Brighton Marina last night (29th Aug) with the Wessex
Networks gang watching an engine-assisted paraglider circle around.
The engine that was powering it's movement was making a very healthy
humming sound. After watching it for around a minute this hum became
very high-pitched - all of a sudden someone shouted 'heads', and then
there was a loud snapping noise. It turns out this was the propeller
of the engine-propelled paraglider falling to the ground from at
least three-hundred metres. The propeller, not small in size,
narrowly missed somebody in a convertible car. The paraglider turned
around (did a runner) and looked like it was going to Brighton race
course, whilst on the ground the Marina security personnel were
radioing in the strange turn of events.
