Hello,
I spent yesterday afternoon with my mate looking for a suit as I'm his best
man next month (lake Garda, Italy wahoo!).
Anyway He's getting his suit from Gresham Blake on Bond Street.
For me (he's buying) we looked in Debenhams, suits you, topshop and
Burtons. The Burton's suit wasn't that bad and I ended up getting it. It
was quite nicely fitted above the waste bit (there's probably a word I
should know but I don't). It didn't just hang off my shoulders if you see
what I mean and make me look like a pin-head. I'm probably going to wear a
pink shirt with the brown suit. I still like seeing people who wear suits
and trainers; I think that looks good (sorry). most recently dr who i think.
A nice brown (with blue stripes) suit which matches his quite nicely.
The dark Debenham's suit's weren't great but there were some nice linen
things; just before you get to the main suit bit. Near all the shirts.
I probably won't wear this more than a few times but if you're going to be
wearing something a lot then you need to spend a bit on a decent (i.e. good
quality) suit; I'd imagine.
I've only ever worn a suit two or three times in my life and I felt quite
comfortable in this new one. I'm not really a suit (or shirt person) but I
think the burtons' stuff was OK. Cheap yes but OK. My wife is threatening
me with trinny and thingy cos I'm a Jeans and pwei-tee-shirt man. although
today I'm in a fetching cream commodore 64 tee shirt. I sometimes wear 3/4
shorts but have very white legs and a bad tattoo.
I probably need to smarten myself up a bit too. I think I should wear
shirts more. shirt and trousers is fine isn't it? unless you're going
corporate?
Jas
