[BNM] [OT] extending ringing time on Virgin mobile phones

This is a pet peeve of mine!

1. Caller pays to call you some extortionate mobile rate
2. Caller pays to leave message at same rate
3. Recipient pays (not always) to retrieve message
4. Recipient pays to call original caller back - probably at the same
extortionate rate

INSTEAD OF JUST GIVING ME 2 SECONDS LONGER TO GET TO THE PHONE - 1 PHONECALL
BECOMES 3.

Somebody at the phone company knew what they were doing when they set that
default delay.

If you are on Vodafone - you can call up customer service and set the divert
to voicemail delay to a maximum of 30 seconds.

No idea about Virgin - but I'd be surprised if you could do if without
calling them.

Regards,

Richard.

Subject: [BNM] [OT] extending ringing time on Virgin mobile phones

I've just got a Virgin mobile account and my phone annoyingly goes to
voicemail after 4 rings which means I never get to it in time unless it's in
my hand. Virgin want 10p a minute to tell me what to do, tight gits, can
anyone advice me on how to extend ringing time to say, 6 or 8 rings please?

Cheers
