Maybe Studlands beach? I think it's NT and therefore camping is not
allowed but then free-camping is never easy. You could always move
inland towards the Puck Stone (aka Agglestone) on the heath  it's
sandy and very nice there. No one will bother you if you camped there.

Otherwise I'd suggest staying in Brighton this weekend if you want
some camping. There'll be beach camping, street camping and Preston
Park camping.... it's Pride, yay!
