Yes, still here.

Indeed those layouts are very similar to the tutorials I have done in 
the past and are neat and useful to a point and I can understand them 
easily enough.
The problem arises when I come to translate my photoshop design which I 
want centred on the screen, is not liquid, has background images, a 
horizontal image based menu, thumbnails and, you know, stuff.
What I usually do is crib other peoples examples without fully 
understanding them - text-align:center; appears to do the middle of the 
screen thing but why does it do it everything instead of just text and 
so on.
Or is it margin: auto;

Anyway as I say I am persevering.
In fact I've done little else for most of the week.
