yes, that's the best least-convoluted most descriptive analogy yet.  
It's really cleared things up for Yan.  ;-)

I really feel as though I've made a lot useful, non-inane  
contributions to the BNM community...

... Ha. I genuinely wouldn't be surprised if somebody set up a  
'shaun.numb >> trash' filter on their email client.
