Funny you should mention that, but...

In my experience once you really understand how things like floats,  
clears, and positioning work, get to grips with the common browser  
quirks, and develop a structure way of bug fixing, the whole CSS  
things gets a lot easier. You will still come across frustrating  
browser issues, but it's much less common.

You don't necessarily have to get my book, but you'll be amazed by  
the number of people who think they get how CSS but have fundamental  
gaps in their knowledge.
