Thanks for the suggestion, but I am really looking for a minimum moving
parts solution -- an image is dropped in to a directory to be used as a
button (whatever size) and everything just works - drop in another image
(anysize) - and it continues to just work.
Forcing the div to the size of the image can be done with a foreground
image; I may take a look at using a very large image map (bigger than the
image it overlays) - if browsers crop the map to the size of the actual
image this may do what I want.
