Absolutely. I think some manufacturers have 
been their usual irresponsible selves when it 
comes to promoting machines as 'Vista-ready'. 
I'm marathon-ready in that over an 
unspecified amount of time (probably about 
three days) I could cover the distance. You 
wouldn't want to sit and watch, though.

FWIW the Vista-ready Dell laptop I bought 
cost over a grand and it still only scores 
3.0 on the 'Experience' scale.
