Hooked  me on to "movable freehold"; googling and I landed this beauty!

Sounds like a check of sir fatboy's/Wicksy/Do they mean us people's land 
registry stuff might be in order to make sure the beach (somehow!- a 
drawing for each tide?) really does appear to be part of their freehold. I 
know land registry is online but you may have to pay to look in detail.
