[BNM] 2Wire Business Broadband with BT

This is more of a warning than a question but if I am wrong I'd be happy: a
client has signed up for 3 years with BT who supplied a 2700HG router. When
I asked 2wire why I could not configure remote config they said this has
been crippled by BT so they can offer "enhanced services" - not sure what
that entails yet but even if they can do what I ask I'd rather do it myself.

Further investigation reveals the firmware is set to phone home periodically
to reset the username and password so you can't use it anywhere but BT
unless you flash the FW.
