My Wife signed us up for Tiscali and its rubbish - does anyone know if
there is any substance in their claim that we are signed up for a year
and if you cancel you have to pay for the remainder of the contract???

We want Pipex!!!!!!!!!

Thanks

Shouldn't make any difference which ISP you choose once a cease on a
line has been requested it can only be undone for the original owner. So

the cease will have to complete before you can order. 5- 10 working
days.

If the previous owner didn't specifically cancel then it can take a
while for the ADSL cease process to start as part of the BT housekeeping

because the phone line was cancelled.

So in fact having a line that someone else once had ADSL on is more
likely to delay things than speed them up.
