I might be wrong about this. My memory is way worse than it used to be
(sleep deprivation). ISTR that if you try and get ADSL set up on a
line that already has ADSL (ie the previous service hasn't been
cancelled or moved) then there is some additional delay while BT ages
out the account, ie not a technical reason.
But I might be wrong. Check with moving-edge, and if you really want
proper prompt service, use them.
