Hi,
you've probably got a valid reason for asking so sorry if this is obvious
but you can download the iso from
<http://www.ubuntu.com/download>
Clicking UK gives:
<http://ftp.ticklers.org/releases.ubuntu.org/releases/6.06/>
"....The desktop CD allows you to try Ubuntu without changing your computer
at all, and at your option to install it permanently later. This type of CD
is what most people will want to use. You will need at least 192MB of RAM
to install from this CD......"
I think the install is a single CD which connects to the internet and does
the rest.
For doing a dual boot with XP already installed and the partitions created
I found this really useful:
<http://www.crhc.uiuc.edu/~mjmille2/howtos/dual-boot-linux-and-windows/>
The linux system rescue CD is/was quite useful too.
Jason
p.s. if you're desperate I can probably download and send a CD to you?
