The in-game advertising doesn't worry me. I assume its to pay for the
running of the servers (and line EA's pockets obviously). As far as I
can tell the only info it captures from me is my IP address so it
knows what country I'm in and delivers country specific ads.

I hadn't heard about the windows kernel patch removal though. I guess
I'll come across that tonight when I install it (yay DHL man found the
office today. PC World had made a right hash of the delivery address
label!).
