[BNM] Ajax type query

Looks like I was doing it correctly (almost) but have just been reading 
about whitespace problems and DOM. Whitespace in my XML is being treated as 
elements and stuff. Is this a big known problem and does anyone have some 
simple information on it?

I'm now looking for something that will display my DOM tree (or rather the 
DOM tree that firefox sees) so I can see what's going on. Any links to 
useful information?
