[BNM] [OT?] USB flash drives / cards

Hello all,

This week my Windows issues have gone mobile. I bought this nice HP iPaq
with Windows mobile 5.1 so I can cut down the number of devices in the car.
So I can use it properly I have a 2gb mini SD card and I thought a good
purchase would be a card reader so I could transfer files.

So the card reader seems ok as it reads and mounts CF/MD cards and the mini
SD is there but OS X tells me it can't be read although Disk Utility can see
it AOK and tells me it can write. Asking Disk Utility to format the card
results in spinny wheel thing and me force quitting the App. After this, I
put the card back in the iPaq and guess what - it cant read it but offers to
reformat it straight away. And so the sequence starts again.

Any bright ideas?
