[BNM] LCD failure

The LCD screen on my Dell Inspiron gave up the ghost last night, the
machine is only 2.5 years old and I have used it mainly with another
monitor so naturally I’m pretty hacked off about it.

Is there an alternative to sending it back to Dell for repair? Hopefully
somewhere local……
