Subject: [BNM] WHOIS and getting your contact details away from nutters

Hi all - I have a client who has registered a .com domain and is asking how
to hide her home address and phone number from stalkers/crazies on the
WHOIS. (Given the nature of her site - I think this would be a very good
idea)
It is registered through http://www.heartinternet.co.uk/ who say:

-----------------
The contact information of an individual who has registered a domain name is
required to be legitimate contact information.... bla bla

HOWEVER for .uk domains, if the registrant of the domain name is an
individual, they have the right to opt-out of the whois database, and that
facility appears in your control panel for .uk domains only as a result.
Your details will still be logged at Nominet UK as the registrant of the
domain name, but they will not appear on the whois database.
-----------------

But this doesn't apply to the .com address....

My suggested solution is transfer to Dreamhost where I know they offer to
hide your info on .coms

Are there other, less drastic ways to get your personal info out of the
public eye?
