Lovely thanks for all the extras. I managed to find a SFTP plugin too.

Has anyone tried:
<http://www.eclipse.org/cdt/>
The CDT (C/C++ Development Tools) Project is working towards providing a
fully functional C and C++ Integrated Development Environment (IDE) for the
Eclipse platform.

    * C/C++ Editor (basic functionality, syntax highlighting, code
completion etc.)
    * C/C++ Debugger (APIs & Default implementation, using GDB)
    * C/C++ Launcher (APIs & Default implementation, launches and external
application)
    * Parser
    * Search Engine
    * Content Assist Provider
    * Makefile generator

This is me being stupid and I suppose I've just go to test it. Does the
above look like it can compile C/C++ on Windows. I assume that a different
compiler is required for each OS so am not sure about this. I'm basically
asking if this is enough for someone to make C/C++ applications on Windows
(in this case). Do I need to include the gnu compiler or something

The makefile bit sounds like the last step before compiling but I'm not
sure about this kind of thing.
