i heard that report too

I think it was shot down - simply because the crash site is spread over 
a couple of miles - not plane coming down in the way it is supposed to 
would have its parts spread over such a large area - crash history shows 
that clearly.

On the other hand, a plane hit by an air to air missle would break apart 
in the air and come down over a large area
