[BNM] .PDF to ms word document converter -> free?

As an update, I just used that convert2doc, and it does do a very good job, though the final output still needs some finer re-formatting. The text is in the right places on the page, the easier graphics (HR lines etc) are reproduced, and text sharing the same fonts have been assigned the same fonts (though clearly not always the CORRECT font as that may not be present).

All in all, I have to admit, I would pay for it. Think its only £30'ish.

http://www.softinterface.com/

Download the doc2convert package and install the trial. When the trial
runs out theres an option to extend the trial.

However, you have to remember that the best package in the world will
have probs converting from a postscript based format to doc. The best
you can hope for really is a reasonable text based approximation.

Certainly you wont get anything that you would want to fill out and hand
in for a job position.

If you are really pushed, then download a trial of Adobe Acrobat 7,
install it and then that will let you edit the pdf (ie fill out the
form).

Also bare in mind that people can lock down PDF docs so that you can't
save them, edit them etc.

Hi Sean,

Try " PDF to word" on Google, there's plenty of choices.. some online,
others as applications you will have to install..

There's more choice from word to PDF:
http://www.pdfonline.com/convert_pdf.asp is quick and free, and I find
gives
better results than flashpaper.

Does anyone know of a good .pdf to ms word or open office document
converter? I tried googling and downloaded:

- 'free expert .pdf reader' - not good
- 'pdf to word 1.4' - not good
- cute .pdf reader - not good either

Its for me to complete a job application form, which I don't want to do
by
hand (due to poor handwriting), so I need a good quality conversion.
