[BNM] [OT] DVD RAM

That's the thing about DVD-RAM - it's the only DVD format which has a
linear track/sector setup like a hard disc instead of the spiral track
format of other DVD formats and CD.
So pausing live video ought to equally possible on a DVD-RAM, although
obviously you should see if the recorder proposed supports it.
When budget allow I'd like to get a DVD recorder so I can record stuff
where the good aerial connection is downstairs then watch it in the
bedroom on the PC. It's a bit harder to do that with an HD recorder :-)
