[BNM] Getting started with Linux

Wowsers... I installed Ubuntu at the weekend... and what a bundle of joy it
is!
Most tools you need come preinstalled (GIMP, Firefox, CD Rippers) - quite
strange to fire up a PC and see no hint of Windows whatsoever.

It also runs at a good speed on an old old ex-office HP PC - and the only
thing stopping me from installing it on my laptop is a few driver problems
with my wireless card (Linksys WRTG54) - I also have an older Belkin one but
need to install a Windows-mirroring type program to install drivers...

One thing I am still in the dark about though is all this command
business... people say I ran this command, that command, but I don't see a
prompt to run these... (what a newbie)

Another Q - do I need to install Apache etc. to run Ubunti as a server? Does
it have some server business already installed on it - or should I grab
XAMMP for Linux?

Big thanks!
