I have a few old pc's kicking around at my place - and I am keen to try
Linux out... with a view to setting up Apache etc. on it and hosting a few
large files form my living room (rock and roll)...

I wondered if anyone had a recommendation on a linux version to choose for
an absolute beginner - I like the look of Debian...

Problem is pages like this for the latest release:
http://www.debian.org/releases/stable/

For someone unfamiliar with Linux - that page is kinda daunting... I want an
ISO image I can download, burn, whack in an old pc and install... surely
this can happen....

I found this with a Debian iso file:

http://www.linuxiso.org/

but lo and behold - the file can't download/is dead

any linux related helpful copmments would be wonerful!

cheers

Paul
