moved to worthing in January after renting for a couple of years in Hove, bought a 3 bed house with decent garden and a drive for the same price as a 2 bed flat in Brighton/Hove - at first we were shocked at the lack of intelligence and culture in what has transpired to be daily mail land - but with the onset of summer and ease of getting in and out of brighton we are a little more tolerant to the leafy avenues round here - chav count is about average for any town - not a place for good restaurants/take-aways or bars (Sofa on the front is okay though - glass fronted and afforded us a great view of the fireworks from the pier on saturday) but maybe with the BH overspill spilling funk will grow - the town does have potential (would say that wouldn't I)
getting the last train back from brighton is often a chav fest but with most offending gangs (correct collective?, maybe it should be a 'slap' of chavs - answers on a postcard pse) usually getting off at Lancing ;-p
