Cheers Rob, you helped plenty, I am using ableton 6 and it overrides the
mic settings.
Thanks

Simon

Hi Simon,

Sounds odd that it should throw any noise back through your speakers.
Mic on my powerbook will only do this if I am recording something via
audio
recording software and "inbuilt mic" is chosen as the input device.

If you are getting what you are getting, say by just playing music on
iTunes, or at any other time - then there's some other fault going on,
unless maybe you have some Skype type prog' running in the background?

Sorry can't help further.

Rob
