Your best bet is jumping up to OS X 10.3 & using a d-link DWL-122 usb
dongle.
another option is to buy an arial-less pcmcia card which will fit into
the airport slot in the iMac. the only card I know of like that are the
cisco aironet cards (get the pci version & wip the pcmcia card off the
bridge) and one of the wifi cards for the old vaiios.
